Original soundtrack from the
BBC2 TV series
Rick Stein’s India In Search of the Perfect Curry
In 1810 when Indian born Sake Dean Mahomed opened the first Curry House in London, little did he realise that he had set in motion the start of our nation’s love of Indian food.
Over two hundred years later our intrepid chef travelled to the sub-continent ‘in search of the perfect curry` while also discovering new and exciting curry dishes to tempt the millions of British curry lovers. The soundtrack music on this series CD Album has been created to reflect the wide diversity of ethnic influences drawn from the various regions of India that Rick visited.
The music also cleverly blends the pulsating rhythms of traditional Indian music with the underlying influences of popular music from the west.
